Setting up Smart IPTV (SIPTV) on your Smart TV

What is Smart IPTV (SIPTV)?

Smart IPTV, also called SIPTV, is an IPTV player for Smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Philips and more). The app works with a playlist link and your MAC address. SIPTV is not a free app: after a 7-day trial you pay a one-time amount (around 5 euros) for a lifetime licence.

Step 1: Find the MAC address of your TV

  1. Install the Smart IPTV app from your TV’s app store.
  2. Open the app. You will see your MAC address (e.g. 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX) and an activation code.
  3. Write down both — you need them to link the playlist.

Step 2: Link the playlist

  1. On your computer or phone, go to siptv.app.
  2. Choose Upload Playlist.
  3. Paste your M3U link and enter your MAC address.
  4. Click Upload.
  5. Open the Smart IPTV app on your TV — the channel list is now loaded.

Step 3: Group channels and watch

With the remote control you browse through the groups. You save favorites with the F key or the menu button.

Troubleshooting

No channels after upload

  • Check that the MAC address is exactly right (capital letters and colons).
  • Restart the app on the TV.
  • Wait 1-2 minutes after the upload and open the app again.

App stays in trial mode

After 7 days the licence must be activated. You do that on siptv.app with your activation code. Pay once, then use it unlimited.

Alternatives to Smart IPTV

SIPTV works fine, but for Samsung and LG there are also free options, such as the steps per TV brand or IPTV on LG TV. Questions? Contact us.
