Why is there no sound on IPTV?
No sound on IPTV is usually caused by an audio codec (such as AC3 or EAC3) that your player or TV does not support, or by a wrong audio setting. It is often fixed in a minute.
Fixes in order
- Switch channel and back — sometimes the audio stream restarts that way.
- Test another channel — if all channels are silent it is a setting; with one channel the broadcast itself is the problem.
- Set the audio output: go to your TV or box sound settings and set the output to PCM or Auto.
- Turn off passthrough: in the player (e.g. TiviMate, Smarters) AC3 / EAC3 passthrough is often enabled — turn this off.
- Try another player: if one app has no sound, test a different app (e.g. XCIPTV or VLC).
Per device
Smart TV
Set the sound mode to Standard instead of surround. Connect your soundbar to the correct port (ARC) and test without the soundbar.
Android box
Go to Settings → Sound and turn off Audio passthrough. Then restart the box.
Phone or tablet
Check that the volume is not muted and turn off Bluetooth output. Then test with another player app.
