Which IPTV app is best for a Samsung TV?
Samsung TVs run on Tizen OS — not every IPTV app works on it. The three proven apps for Samsung are:
- IBO Player — best choice for Samsung: fast, works with Xtream Codes and M3U, neat EPG.
- Smart IPTV (SIPTV) — a classic, works with a MAC address.
- IPTV Smarters — works on newer Samsung models (2021+).
Step 1: Install IBO Player
- Press the Home button on your remote.
- Go to Apps and open the Samsung App Store.
- Search for “IBO Player” and press Install.
- Open the app — you see a screen with an activation code and your MAC address.
Step 2: Link IBO Player to your provider
IBO Player works via a one-off activation (around €5.99 per year, separate from your IPTV subscription). Send your activation code + MAC address to your IPTV provider — they add your channels. At Pro IPTV this happens within minutes via WhatsApp.
Step 3: Get channels and EPG
After linking, open the app again. You now see your live channels, movies and series with a programme guide (EPG). In the settings, set the language.

Smart IPTV works with an M3U list: install the app, log in at siptv.app with your MAC address, paste your M3U link there and restart the app. Note: the app is no longer available on all models.

On models from around 2021 onwards, yes, via the Samsung App Store. On older models you use IBO Player or Smart IPTV.
Do I need a Samsung account?
Yes — to install apps from the Samsung store you must be signed in with a (free) Samsung account.
Does Samsung block IPTV?
No. If channels do not load, check your internet connection, the app’s activation and whether your MAC address was linked correctly.
