Setting up a Formuler box for IPTV: MyTVOnline guide (2026)

What is a Formuler box?

Formuler is one of the best-known brands in IPTV boxes. The Android boxes from Formuler (such as the Z8, Z10, Z11 Pro Max, GTV and the newer Z-mini series) run on their own operating system, MyTVOnline. That system is made for IPTV specifically: no separate app needed, but a built-in player with TV guide, recordings, catch-up and multiple channel lists on one screen.

The big advantage of Formuler: everything is already on it. No fussing with installing separate apps — MyTVOnline comes standard on the box and is tuned to the device.

Which Formuler models are there?

• Formuler GTV — top model with Google TV, 4K and room for extra apps from the Play Store.
• Formuler Z11 Pro Max — powerful 4K box with MyTVOnline 3 and Android 11.
• Formuler Z10 Pro Max / Z10 — proven 4K box with MyTVOnline 3.
• Formuler Z8 / Z8 Pro — older generation, still perfectly usable with MyTVOnline 2.
• Formuler Z-mini / Z Alpha — compact entry-level models without 4K.

Whichever model you have: the setup works the same on all of them.

Setting up Formuler for IPTV

You need three things: the box (with internet), your Pro IPTV login details and the MAC address of your box.

Step 1: Find the MAC address of your Formuler

1. Turn on the box and go to the home screen of MyTVOnline.
2. Open the menu (top left corner or the button with the three lines).
3. Go to Settings → Device settings or About.
4. Look for the MAC address (for example 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX).

Note: some boxes have two MAC addresses (wifi and ethernet). Use the MAC address of the connection you watch on — if in doubt, use the ethernet one.

Step 2: Set up the portal in MyTVOnline

1. Open MyTVOnline on the box.
2. Choose Add portal or +.
3. Name: Pro IPTV.
4. Under Portal URL, enter the portal URL you received from us.
5. Confirm and wait until the box fetches the channel list.

Does the portal not work right away? Then check that the MAC address is registered in our administration — without the link, the portal cannot load a list.

Step 3: Channels and TV guide

After loading you see the channel list with logos, groups and the electronic programme guide (EPG). With the menu button on the remote you can filter groups, save favorites and adjust the display.

Common problems with Formuler

Portal not loading / no channels

• Check that the MAC address is correct and known to us.
• Check that the portal URL was entered without extra spaces.
• Restart the box (unplug it, wait 30 seconds).
• Test the internet connection on the box itself.

Picture stutters or buffers

• Preferably use an ethernet cable instead of wifi.
• Restart your router.
• Close apps or downloads that use a lot of bandwidth.

No sound on some channels

Some channels use a different audio codec. Go to Settings → Playback and set the audio output to Automatic or turn off passthrough.

Updating MyTVOnline

Formuler regularly releases updates. Go to Settings → About → Software update and install the latest version. Updates also fix many small bugs.

Using other apps on Formuler

Prefer a different player, like IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate? On the GTV and Z11 series you simply install those from the Google Play Store. On older models without Play Store, use the Market menu or install an APK via USB. MyTVOnline remains the fastest and most stable option on Formuler, though.
